Trip Description: Known as the home to Giant pandas, Sichuan has largest number of wild pandas (1206, about 80% of total number in the wild). The diverse landforms and well-protected natural environment has made Sichuan the best natural habitat for many of China¡¯s endangered animals, including the iconic wild giant panda. This journey will take you to the panda breeding center to meet dozens of panda in different ages as well as the beautiful alpine vistas and parks in Sichuan, especially to the panda habitat where the first foreigner Armand David found the black and white creature and introduced panda to the western world in 1869.

 Coming face to face with cute Giant Panda during your volunteer work.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1 Chengdu
Arrive Chengdu and visit the old buildings in the town.
Day 2  Chengdu/Ya¡¯an
Drive to Bifengxia and learn the knowledge of wildlife from renowned expert.
Day 3  Bifengxia/Baoxing
Do volunteer work for cute panda and come face to face with this cute creature. In the late afternoon we drive to Baoxing.
Day 4  Fengtongzhai Nature Reserve
Visit the church where Armand David lived and preached in 1869 and follow his footprint to trace the wild Giant Panda.   Camping
Day 5  Fengtongzhai Nature Reserve/Chengdu
After hiking in the reserve we drive back to Chengdu. Taste the authentic Sichuan cuisine and enjoy the famous face-changing show.
Day 6  Chengdu
Explore the Jinsha Relic Museum and learn Kongfu lesson in Wangjiang Park.
Day 7 Return Home
