Through the Shangri-La from Chengdu  to Lijiang / Lijiang to Chengdu

We have two trips depart at the same time but start in different direction so as to best make use of our vehicles(in that way our vehicle will not drive back 3 days without passengers), That is part of our effort to reduce carbon emission and our trip cost!

 We will visit the Shangri-La area in Autumn, the most coloful and beautiful season. Our journey starts from enjoying tea in the starting place of the Ancient Tea Horse Road and tracking panda traces in panda habitats with local expert. Driving through mountains and gorges, we will enjoy the spectacular view of snow-capped mountains, virgin forest, alpine lakes and grasslands and feel the changes of styles in local architecture, customs and costumes. Our visit of local monasteries of different sects will help us understand the Buddhist philosophy in the easiest interpretation. At Dongba old village, we will meet local Dongba people and listen to their stories and play with their children, while in the important towns of the Ancient Tea Horse Road, we can enjoy the stories of the glorious but difficult past of the merchants.
