Video of Chengdu Panda Base:
Giant Panda is a playful animal. The video shows you a moment of their daily life. Playing is what they do most of the time in spite of eating bamboo. Our day tour in panda base has always been a noteworthy experience in your trip in China.

Everyday all year around
How long is the cooking program?
We will spend the whole afternoon for the cooking program, start from shopping in the local market, lecture about Chinese cuisine, food preparation, cooking, finally to enjoy your artworks on the dinner table. There are plenty of famous dishes to choose to learn, and we will advise you the best combination according to your interest.
I know nothing about the cooking, can I still join the program?
Absolutely, we welcome anybody wants to learn, and we want to keep you informed and entertained at the same time.
What’s Sichuan pepper?
We have been using Sichuan pepper for more than a thousand years in the history. In ancient time, Sichuan pepper is a tribute to the emperor, and is commonly used in Sichuan cuisine. The unique aroma and flavor is not hot or pungent as black, white, or chili peppers. Instead, it has slightly lemony overtones and creates a tingly numbness in the mouth. Most of our guests love the flavor, and even want to bring it home.
How much time would we need to see the Panda Research Base? I’ve heard it might be possible to hold a panda cub- could you tell me about that?
Though the time needed to see the Panda Research Base in Chengdu varies due to different interests of people in pandas, normally, it takes about 2-4 hours to see the panda there. Now Chengdu Research Base (the full name should be Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding) has suspended their program of holding a panda cub. But Dujiangyan Panda Base of China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda still have this program available.
“Outstanding "personal touch" Tour Company”
Having just returned from a three day trip to Chengdu, China using Absolute Panda as our tour Guide I am compelled to write this review. Philip and Bruce, our tour guide, were outstanding in their knowledge, support and attention to detail. Everything, down to the final details, were planned meticulously. We visited the Research Panda Base, enjoyed the "Changing Faces" Show, went down the old lanes and alleyways and parks and had great fun with our Sichuan cookery lesson from Mama, (Philip"s mum). The whole team gave that "personal touch" to our trip and we would not have seen half as much if we had guided ourselves. They have convinced us that using the services of a tour guide is essential if you want to see the best a place has to offer. Wholly recommend Absolute Panda. Thank you so much for all you did for us.
